Clara: I don’t suppose you have something that will get out a stain?
Concordia (Shabby): What happened?
Clara: I just slipped a little on the way, and I don’t want to give my parents any opportunity to be suspicious.
Concordia (Shabby): We can get that cleaned up like new, I’m sure.
Anataeus (Shabby): A stain remover? Now we’re back to the old Van Tassen times.
Anataeus (Shabby): To think I was just getting so full of myself...

-----------

Clara: That worked surprisingly well.
Clara: I imagine you could sell this solvent if you had a mind to go into business.
Anataeus (Shabby): Maybe we should. We’ve already had a good joke about becoming clothiers.
Clara: How lovely, though. I’d go to you for all my couture.
Concordia (Shabby): All we need is that mannequin and we can open up shop right here.
Anataeus (Shabby): Yes, what a great location!
Clara: This sort of thing is amusing to speak of in jest, but sometimes I do wish I could lead a simple life.
Concordia (Shabby): Perhaps one day you can.
Clara: Oh, I rather doubt it.
